- Managerial responsibility included organization of schedules, training and mentoring of new colleagues, and ensuring completion of duties by anywhere from 15 up to 60 staff during the busy festive period.

- Research and Development Polymer Engineer: Paid internship under the auspices of the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO).
- Developed a thermally conductive epoxy coating resin to meet customer demands.
- Collated and interpreted medium-to-long-term project data using industry-standard techniques.
- Developed and delivered a verbal presentation (supported by hard-copy précis material) of end-product research results to a panel including representatives of JETRO and corporate management from Yokohama Rubber Company.
- Integrated seamlessly on both a social and corporate level – whilst popular and a strong worker in the laboratory, I also played for the company football team in the Emperor’s Cup.
